360iDev – What conferences should be!

Appsolute Genius attended 360iDev last week and it’s fair to say we were impressed.  For those that don’t know, this conference is for iPhone development and is held twice per year.  It started with a training day on September 27th and ended on Wednesday.

So what was the good, bad and the ugly?

The good

- The conference was run very, very well.  It went smoothly from start to finish with sessions well labeled and laid out.

- The food was way better than normal conference food. I’m still thinking about the lasagna.

- The talent was amazing. Many of the top selling iPhone developers were speaking.  Extra kudos to Jessica Kahn of Tapulous, Dan Grisby of Mobile Orchard, and Phil Libin of Evernote.

- The after parties were a ton of fun including the after, after parties (at the breweries).  Thanks to the sponsors for some great rock band, beer, and good food.

- Denver is a very cool city.  Lots of good breweries and very clean.

- We met amazing people. You know who you are. There are just too many to mention by name.

The bad

- As with all conferences, there were a few presenters that just didn’t present well. Most of it was due to lack of practice. You could tell they knew what they were talking about.

The ugly

- The internet at the hotel was bad all week.  Too many devices in one area, but it was kind of like going back to ISDN.

All in all, this was a great conference.  We had a good time and we came back with so many tips and tricks that it is some what overwhelming.  We can’t wait until the next one in San Jose!
