The game has changed

The iPhone was introduced nearly two years ago.  Since that time, mobile phone companies have been desperately trying to catchup with what the iPhone has done.  Quite simply, Apple changed the mobile landscape by introducing an amazing smart device.  It has email, contacts, wifi, 3g, an ipod, a camera, motion detection, and thousands of applications wrapped in an attractive, easy to use device. Everyone else has been playing catchup since it was released.

To boot, Apple has roughly 50,000 developers creating applications for them for free. Everyday, these developers make the platform more useful and help Apple sell more devices.  I am not going to say that Apple’s restrictions are flawless.  However, it has become the most amazing device on the market. Now, you may hate Apple and the iPhone, but consider that whatever device you use has introduce better features just to try to compete with the iPhone.  So maybe you owe Apple an apology. However, this market of mobile applications shakes out, I think that we all owe Apple just a bit of gratitude for evolving the mobile device and the mobile applications.
